(Malaysian Skills Diploma)
This course is recognized by the Malaysian government and has national recognition. The Accreditation Body is the Skills Development Department (JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources (KSM). The awarding of the Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) and Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) is issued by JPK and recognized by the Malaysian Public Service (JPA).

Wired Transmission Infrastructure Management personnel are designated to perform the following competencies where deemed competent, such as :-
Telecommunications is an important enabler for Malaysia to position itself at the international level. Employment growth in the telecommunication industry is significant and is always in demand.
Wired Transmission Infrastructure Management personnel will be required to work according to project schedule as per project requirement. They must possess good leadership and communication skills to be able to lead project activities. As telecommunications technology is rapidly expanding, therefore these personnel should be abreast with the latest technologies. A good background in electronics, computers, ISPs or networking is considered an asset for this career. Personnel in this field of work also required to adhere to safety and security procedures because the working environment in telecommunication industry may lead to exposure to various accidents.
