Machine Learning Assisted LoRaWAN 923MHz Attenuation Model in Palm Oil Plantation
- Collected and processed a 7,000-point LoRaWAN dataset using Excel and MATLAB to develop an attenuation model for optimizing gateway placement in a palm oil plantation.
- Applied a regression tree model with optimization, achieving an RMSE of 2.5378 (training) and 2.5721 (test), and an R2 of 0.8726 (training) and 0.8751 (test), demonstrating high model accuracy.
- Reduced the average difference between model predictions and actual measurements to 2.5 dB, improving prediction accuracy.
